Join Ubikey
Ubikey is a software company specialising in digital visual management and collaborative work.
Our platform enables teams to create and facilitate their visual management spaces, manage their projects and activities, and collaborate on a daily basis.
Ubikey provides an experience built around two complementary interfaces:
-
a web interface, accessible from a browser, for individual work and remote collaboration;
-
an interface designed specifically for large touchscreens, built for collaborative, multi-user use and allowing several people to interact simultaneously within the same workspace.
This dual approach creates a unique UX challenge: designing Ubikey means thinking about experiences that move seamlessly from individual work to group collaboration, from keyboard and mouse to touch interactions, and from remote work to facilitating a team gathered physically around a screen.
Our challenge is to provide a solution that is powerful, flexible and intuitive, capable of addressing a wide variety of business use cases without ever compromising ease of use.
To support the continued evolution of our product, we are looking for a UX/UI Designer who will work closely with our customers, product team and developers.
Your role
As a UX/UI Designer at Ubikey, you will be involved throughout the entire design cycle, from understanding user needs to production release and the continuous improvement of features.
Your main responsibilities will include:
-
Understanding the needs of our customers and users: conducting interviews, observing how the product is used, analysing the challenges users encounter and exploring different use cases.
-
Turning needs into functional solutions: translating user expectations into features that are consistent with both the user experience and the existing Ubikey ecosystem.
-
Designing user journeys while taking into account the specific characteristics of our two interfaces and their different contexts of use: web, touchscreen, individual, collaborative, in-person or remote.
-
Creating UX and UI designs in Figma, from initial concepts through to detailed mock-ups ready for development.
-
Working alongside developers through to delivery: explaining functional and visual design choices, answering questions during development and ensuring the quality of the experience delivered in the final product.
-
Collecting and analysing user feedback after release to identify potential improvements and propose further design iterations.
-
Developing and maintaining our Design System: creating and documenting components, ensuring consistency and supporting the team in using them effectively.
-
Contributing to product documentation, including writing articles for our user support centre.
The team
You will join an agile, close-knit and autonomous team.
At Ubikey, we don't work in silos. Product, design and development work together throughout the entire design and development process.
We value direct communication, rapid iteration and collective ownership. Everyone has genuine autonomy within their area of expertise while actively contributing to the team's discussions and decisions.
The UX/UI Designer will play an integral role in this organisation. You will contribute to understanding problems, exploring solutions and bringing them to life together with the rest of the team.
The profile we're looking for
Above all, we're looking for someone who is curious, pragmatic and user-focused.
You like to understand the problem before designing the solution. You are comfortable talking to both users and developers, and you know how to explain and stand behind your design decisions.
You have a strong sensitivity to UX, UI and product design, and you pay attention to the details that make an interface genuinely enjoyable and effective to use every day.
Proficiency in Figma is highly desirable.
We are open to candidates with different levels of experience. Some professional experience is welcome, but junior candidates are also encouraged to apply. Your portfolio, your design approach and your ability to understand user needs and behaviours will matter just as much as the number of years of experience you have.
A good command of written English is appreciated, particularly for designing English-language interfaces.

You will join a small, close-knit team where you can have a direct and visible impact on the product.

You will be in direct contact with users, contribute to product and functional discussions, and work closely with the people who actually build the solution.
We are looking for someone who wants to understand how people work, find solutions to real user problems and actively contribute to shaping the future of the Ubikey product.
